The portfolio of an industrial designer who is a jack of all trades, and aims to become a master of some.
KNA Light
Because we all remember our firstCompany: TU Delft
Year: 2011
Key activities: Sketching, 3D CAD Design, Lathe-milling, Turn-milling, Welding
The KNA Light is my first “real” design. A small desklamp, handmade from aluminum. An excersize in design proportions, and manufacturing techniques.
The switch of the lamp, which is subtly integrated where the cable exits the lamp, was the most challenging to design and build. This is when I learned how complex it can be to make things (look) simple.
Because it’s my first design, it will always have a special place in my heart, and on my desk.
